To celebrate their first birthday, they've dipped their toes into the glorious world of vinyl with this double 12" with seven of the label's finest tracks to date plus one exclusive. The first 12" features Hayz' UB40 sampling "Ghetto Rat" and Ninelives The Cat's "Let Me In", (a brilliant fusion of "Be Good To Me" and "Cross The Tracks"), whilst the flip features Kid Stretch's "Get Down To The Funky Sound", featuring a cheeky Destiny's Child sample amongst its old school hip-hop good time feel, and Badboes' "Show Me Ghetto", an infectious rework of Robin S' 90s classic "Show Me Love", featuring numerous funk-acid tweaks. The second 12" meanwhile features Chris Awesome's bootleg of The Bees' "Payback", a heady mix of psychedelic rock and old school funk, and Nick Fonkynson's "D-Funk" featuring some heavy Wurlitzer solo action, and on the flip side, Funk Ferret's massive "Get Back To Funk" and John Farrugio's rework of Junior Senior's "Move Your Feet" - if this doesn't get the dancefloor going, nothing will. Make no mistake, this release is big!
